Mary Catherine Durham

A gathering to celebrate the life of Mary Catherine Durham will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016, beginning with a viewing at 2 p.m. followed by a chapel service at 3 p.m. and the burial to be held directly afterwards in the Greenwood/Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Mary Catherine Durham was preceded in death by her Mother, Mary Francis Gray, her Father, William Bedford Gray, her husband, Joe A. Durham, and her brothers, Cecil Gray, Billy Gray, Ernest Gray, Freddie Gray, and Teddy Gray. She is survived by her older sister Betty Doris Franks.

Mary has three children - Joseph M. Durham of Montgomery, Al., Deborah A. Durham of Northport, Al. and John D. Durham of Tampa, Fl. , along with three grandchildren - Jacob B. Foster and Christopher L. Durham of Northport, Al. and Cameron J. Durham of St. Petersburg, Fl. Mary also has two great grandchildren - Destiny A. Durham and Kemberly C. Durham, both from Northport, Al. There are also four living sister-in laws that she loved very much. They are Irene Gray (TN.), Margie Gray (TN.), Mary Lou Gray (TN), and Phyllis Gray (FL). She also would enjoy giving thanks to her special lifelong friends - Marie Hadley, Joy Houck, Howard Hale and Lonnie Missildine.

Mary will be missed by all that knew her. Having friends was very important to her. She loved flowers while she was with us but would prefer you give what you can to her favorite charity - The ST. JUDE CHILDRENS HOSPITAL. Thank you.
