Maurice Hammonds, age 96, died on July 23, 2026, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her son, Ralph "Skeeter" Hammonds Jr. and her daughter, Brenda Bonner (Silas). She is survived by two loving nieces, Elaine Turner and Dianne Brown, several great-nieces and great-nephews, two special ladies who called her grandmother, Jennifer and Emily Marcato, and special friends, Kay Jones, Carolyn Stillings, Sandra Wilson and Eileen Maddox.
The Visitation will be at Leak Memory Chapel on July 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM with a graveside service to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Turner, Craig Shaid, Christian Baker, Noah Baker, Tim Baker and Chase Hollon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Assembly of God, Montgomery (www.montgomeryfirst.org), or Adullam International Ministries- Adullam House (www.adullamhouse.org).
