Melissa Pickard Moody

Melissa Pickard Moody, 53, passed away in her home on Friday, October 3, 2014 following an extended illness. She will be remembered by many for her generous and unselfish support and guidance, particularly for those facing crucial turning points in their lives. Her comforting friendship will be missed by many. She is survived by her two sons, Riley Moody and Ryan Moody; her former husband, Dean Moody; her mother, Patricia (Dr. James) Guest; her siblings, Patty (Carlton) King, and Paul (Carol) Pickard as well as nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her stepfather, Dr. Zack Trawick. Melissa and family are eternally grateful for the unwavering support of Cindy Owen, Gerry Wood, the care and comfort provided by the Montgomery Cancer Center, and Baptist Hospice.

There will be a visitation at Grace Episcopal Church at 906 Pike Rd. Mount Meigs, Alabama 36067, on Monday, October 6th 2014, at 10am on Monday, followed by a graveside service at 11am officiated by The Reverend David Peeples. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at 3054 McGehee Rd. Montgomery, Alabama or Baptist Hospice at 301 Interstate Park Dr. Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
