To the family of Big Mike, I`m sorry about what happened but God has a plan for you and your family. Big Mike was a very good friend of mine and I know 1 thing; he was a family man and he loved his wife so much. This is the first I have heard of this on this day of June 1, 2015 and I am deeply saddened. To the family, I will pray for you all and even though it hurts, God has a plan.

I'm in disbelief right now that you're gone. And, I just this moment, found out. I hadn't seen you in so long and actually looked you up on facebook this past year. You looked great,with a beautiful wife and kids. I'm so sorry I never got the opportunity to get to know your beautiful family. I will constantly keep them in my prayers and visit you at your resting place. Farewell, my friend.

Michael, I just learned of your passing today. I am completely broken hearted. I called my dad, and he just couldn't believe it. We know that you loved your family so very much, and my dad respected that about you. More tears have fallen,  than rain has tonight. After I didn't see you on the property anymore, I couldn't figure out where you went. I assume you found a better job. My dad was so proud of you,  and how you were raising your children, and loved your family. After meeting you, he said that you were genuinely a great man. My dad and I are devastate by your death. We will keep your wife, and children in our prayers. We will forever miss you. We are going to put flowers on your head stone. Thank you for being the wonder person that you were to everyone that was blessed to meet you.

I've been avoiding this website. I dont know why, maybe i was in denial or maybe i just didnt want to read the obituary, i dont know but I'm here. I've got to pay my respects and close this chapter. Mike i realized how great of a friend you were on 6/13/09... I always knew you were a friend but i realized how much you truly cared on that day, the day my brother passed. It's all kind of a blur but i do know that you and Kim were 2 of the first faces i saw. Thank you for always being so good to me. I wish we could've all spent more time together before you walked thru those pearly gates but i am certain that we looked at each other as family. Please give my brother a huge hug from me and we will see you all soon!! From heaven, Please keep a watch over your kids and Kim and i will do the best i can from down here!! Although I was never personally introduced to Michael I came to the ballgames from North Alabama to watch and thoroughly enjoyed the East Montgomery girls as they played softball, interacted and learned good lessons along life's way.  I know my grandchildren, Gracie and Sophie Wooddy, are feeling the loss of one of their coaches. My heartfelt condolences. Darius Rawls

Michael, I only knew you for a short time and I enjoyed seeing your face light up when you talked about softball and coaching the kids.  You will certainly brighten up the heavens with your smile.

RIP Coach Mike!  East Montgomery will never be the same without you.  You brought so much joy to childrens lives, and I will never forget all you taught Makayla.  We know you will be watching down over us.  We will keep Kim and the kids as close as we can.  We love you and miss you dearly!
