Michael R. White, 69, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on July 8, 2026. Born December 8, 1956, Michael will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege to know him.
Throughout a life defined by steady dedication and quiet strength, Michael built a legacy of work well done and generosity freely given. He served as a Business Law Professor at Auburn University in Montgomery and Troy University, shaping minds with rigor and care. His commitment to the profession was reflected in his membership in the American Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Association, and his reach extended beyond home as an Adjunct Professor in China—an experience that spoke to his willingness to step beyond the familiar and embrace the wider world.
Michael was an Eagle Scout, a distinction that reflected a lifelong respect for responsibility, service, and character. Away from work, he found joy and renewal in sailing and playing golf—pursuits that suited his love of open horizons and the simple satisfactions of time well spent.
Above all, Michael was a wonderful father and husband. He was deeply beloved, and those closest to him will remember the constancy of his presence, the care behind his actions, and the love that anchored his home.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Ronald White, and his mother, Faye Woodham White. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Courtney White, and his son, Michael Ronald White, Jr.
