

Nancy was born in Helena, Montana to Bernie and Evelyn Nelson. She was the oldest of 5 children. She excelled in sports. She was a member of her high school’s State Championship softball team, as well as basketball. She attended Montana State on a Track Scholarship and represented her school at the U.S. trails for the Olympic team. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
She moved to Montgomery,AL in 1971 when her then husband, Lt Col R. Kim Miller, was transferred to Maxwell AFB. She raised her 3 children along with dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and 2 ducks. She was a P.E.teacher at St. Bedes, a crisis counselor at the Lighthouse and an Administrative Assistant at Auburn University at Montgomery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bonnie Best, brothers Dan Nelson and Rick Nelson. She is survived by a son, Tobin A. Miller (Christina); daughters Temple Miller Ade (Ted) and Tara Miller Harris ( Matt); grandchildren, Alec Harris (Maggie), Evan Harris, Olivia “Liv” Ade, Walker Ade (Caroline), Rachel Miller Walker (Alex), Rebekah Miller, Kipp Miller, Kaitlyn “Kk” Miller, a great grandchild Kashton Harris; a brother Jack Nelson and nieces and nephews.
She knew the Good News of Jesus and God’s love. She is remembered for her love of children and animals.
Nancy will be laid to rest in her beloved Montana.
