Nelda Jones Cox, age 99, of Alexander City, formerly of Montgomery Alabama passed away peacefully at Chapman Healthcare on Saturday, March 29, 2025. A Graveside service for Mrs. Cox will be held at 11:00 on April 3rd, 2025, at Greenwod Cemetery in Montgomery.
Mrs. Cox was born on Oct 31st, 1925, in Elmore County to Thomas Goode Jones and Cynthia Brady Jones.
Mrs. Cox, a devoted wife and homemaker lived in Montgomery most of her life. She and her husband were long-time active members of Rigby St Baptist Church and Wares Ferry Rd Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford M. Cox and her sister Deltha Jean Schofield. She is survived by her niece Joy Dunlap (Henry) of Alexander City and her nephew Wade Schofield (Carin) of Lynchburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the church or organization of your choice.
