Ney Pickett Park Jr.

Ney Pickett Park, Jr., age 80, quietly passed away at home after a brief illness. He is predeceased by his parent’s Ney, Sr. and Cleo Park and his daughter, Laurie Kristin Park. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sara Crowe Park; his son, Russell Ney (Shannon) Park; three grandchildren, Autumn Middleton, Maxwell Middleton, and Timothy (Meghan) Park of Norwick, CT. Ney graduated from API now called Auburn University with a BS in Civil Engineering and worked for the Highway Department as a Bridge Designer in the Computer Section for 38 years. Ney’s son, Russell was a ALDOT Bridge Inspector for the 9th division. Ney was a member of Snowdoun Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was also a wildlife artist. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2:00PM with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, give to your favorite charity.
