Patricia Gibson, 76, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on September 4, 2026. Born November 30, 1949, in Alabama, Patricia lived a life marked by steady dedication and a generous spirit that made others feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.
A graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Patricia carried forward a strong work ethic that shaped the years that followed. She devoted 43 years to her work as a hairdresser, serving others day after day with skill, patience, and the kind of warmth that turns an appointment into a lasting connection.
Pat was, at heart, a true people person—loved by many and remembered for the simple, sincere kindness she extended so naturally. Her faith was an important part of her life as a member of Ray Thorington Baptist Church, where she also enjoyed organizing senior adult bus trips, bringing friends together and creating opportunities for fellowship and shared joy. She also participated in a church mission trip to Russia, reflecting a willingness to serve beyond familiar places and routines.
Pat is survived by her son, Tommy "Frog" Gibson (Susan Gibson); grandchildren, Cole Gibson (Chastity Gibson) and Lela Gibson; great-grandchildren, Cash Gibson and Casey Gibson; sister, Nancy Catrett (Doug Catrett); sister, Linda Segrest (Murray Segrest); and niece, Laura Simmons (Dallas Simmons).
Patricia was preceded in death by her son's father, Clevy Gibson; her father, J.C. McInnis; her mother, Ruby McInnis; and her niece, Theresa Catrett.
A Family and Friends Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life Chapel Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be Tommy "Frog" Gibson, Cole Gibson, Spec Overstreet, Bubba Overstreet, Billy Gibson and Jason Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Catrett, Murray Segrest, Dallas Simmons, Shorty Gibson and Ray Ziglar.
