I am so saddened to hear of Penton’s death. I was his eighth-grade English teacher at Cloverdale Junior High School. He was always in my top ten of unforgettable students that I taught over my career with the Montgomery Public School System. He was a wonderful and joyful student. I extend my deepest condolences to his wife and family. I am in total shock over his passing. God bless his soul.

Dearest Suzanne, My very deepest love and sympathy to you dear-heart in this hour of loss of your son Penton. I truly pray that his departure will eventually become bearable to you and to his widow as well. (She was such a cute and sweet girl when Caroline and I met her with you when we were up there.) It is such a relief to know that your husband will be with you to help process this heavy experience in your heart and soul. I will always love you as one of my dearest girl friends in school, and I hope to see you sometime soon.
With much love, Lib Ausley Gablehouse (Spookendike, etc.)
