

Patti Eloise Wallace, 81, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Leak Memory Chapel at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Graveside services will be Friday, April 14, 2023 at New Brockton City Cemetery at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Roderick Watkins, Rob Elliott, Radek Nehoda, Dustin Watkins, Milos Matousek and Wally Bruce. Honorary Pallbearers will be Schmidt Wallace Healthcare Family, Czech Republic Family and AUM School of Nursing. Mrs. Wallace is preceded in death by her parents Wyeth and Eloise Wallace. She is survived by her sons Christopher Schmidt and wife Melissa Marshall Schmidt and Timothy Schmidt and wife Lucie Schmidt, grandchildren Brannon Schmidt, Mason Schmidt, Eva Schmidt, Jenni Kime and Jeremy Levan, great grandchildren Thomas Kime, Kinley Ann Kime, Karaline Kime and Rex Levan and a sister Carol Bruce and husband Macky Bruce. Patti loved her family, Ballet, Theater, Sailing and Reading. She attended Duke University and earned a Bachelor of Science from Brooklyn College, CUNY and a Masters of Social Work degree from Atlanta University. She was a leader, mentor, coach, a pioneer and innovator in the skilled nursing and rehabilitation profession. She owned and operated 5 nursing homes, 2 assisted living facilities, a pharmacy, a medical supply company and 4 nursing assistant training academies in the State of Alabama. She enhanced the lives of seniors and the disabled in her facilities for over 37 years. Prior to moving with her family to Alabama, she lived in Atlanta, GA and was the Executive Administrator for Blue Ridge Healthcare with facilities across Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. She created the Patti Wallace Enhancing Lives Scholarship Endowment at the Auburn University of Montgomery and provided a home and full tuition financial support for numerous university students from the Czech Republic to become Accountants, Finance Professionals, Managers and Company leaders. Patti was very involved in the Arts specifically Theater, Dance and Ballet and was a dynamic Business Owner and Professional that touched and enhanced the lives of so many.
