

Paul Mattocks, 85, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM in the chapel with Pastor Eddie Pate officiating. A private family graveside will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Troy, AL. Paul retired after 31 years of service with the State of Alabama Conservation Department Fish and Game. He loved the outdoors and was a true “Turkey Hunter”. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Nancy Mattocks; daughters, Debbie Ellis (Lynn), Linda Barden (Lee); grandchildren, April Loveday (fiancé Douglas Butler), Jay R. Barden (Danielle), Vince and Norah Barden, Trey Barden, Eli and Paisleigh Barden, Rachel Barden, Amanda Pollard, Mackenzie Henderson, Ashton Pollard; and great grand grandchildren, Seth and Mia Loveday. Pallbearers will be Tim Cosby, Sam Newell, Philip Kelley, Craig Kelley, David Hayden, and Brett Abbot. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Kelley, Dalton Halbrook, Dr. Hugh Praytor, Ray Jones and Walter Snell. The family wishes to give special recognition to the staff of Gentiva Hospice, especially Vanessa Whitfield, Roymeshia Simmons, and Sharonda Harvey for the care they gave Mr. Mattocks.
