Peggy Woodruff Gordon

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John W. Gordon; parents, Thomas B. Woodruff and Martha McLaurine Woodruff; two sisters and two brothers.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Martha Gordon Lanier (Robert); son, John W. Gordon Jr.; granddaughter, Amy Lanier Sheffield (Casey Shivener); great-grandson, Christopher R. Sheffield Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 9:00 AM at Whitfield Memorial United Methodist Church with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery following the service.

Pallbearers for the service will be Turner Porter, Walter Porter, Will Porter, John K. Gordon, Frank Marsh, Stephen Marsh, Mark Willis, Rodney Blankenship, and Samuel Thornton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Whitfield Memorial United Methodist Church Music Program.
