Peggy Cox Struthers

Peggy Cox Struthers was born Sept 15, 1933 in Montgomery, Al. She married Bill Struthers on November 7, 1954 and they were married for 67 years. They have three children: Karen Smith (Webb), Rosemary Sprague (Jeff), Michael Struthers (Emily); six grandchildren: Abigail Mitchell (Michael), Haley Thompson (Peter), Zachary Sprague (Jordan), and Taylor Schmidt (Caroline), Holly Struthers and Will Struthers; ten great grand children.

She is preceded in death by her parents William A. Cox and Ruby Cox Loftin and one brother Billy Cox.

Peggy (Murph) loved her family so much her husband, her children, grand children, and great grand children were the love of her life. She was passionate about her church family at Eastern Hills Baptist Church for 57 years and a member of the Betty Hurley Sunday School Class.

Peggy enjoyed family trips and especially loved family gatherings in her home. She loved flowers, and working in her garden gave her great joy. She will be deeply missed by her dear friends, and devoted family. The family would also like to thank the companionship and services of caregiver Rosa Ford.

A visitation for Peggy will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3604 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 A.M. led by Dr. Rick Marshall and Rev. Josh Wootton.

While flowers will be accepted, memorials to Eastern Hills Baptist Church or your favorite charity will be appreciated also.
