
Phyllis K. Cloutier, 72, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2011. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at White Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at White Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Susan Diamond officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Cloutier was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Mabel Nichols. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph G. Cloutier; her devoted companion “Thunder”; two nephews, Matthew J. Nichols (Emily) of South Bend, IN, Brian Nichols of Bangor, ME; niece, Jennifer Brewer (Jared) of Bangor, ME; three grandnieces; brother, Terry K. Nichols of West Liberty, OH; special “sister” JoAnn Fraley; and numerous cousins. Phyllis was the beloved wife of Joseph G. Cloutier and the two were married on June 9, 1957 in Bellefontaine, OH. She retired in December 1997 from the USDA Forest Service and was an elder of Cloverdale Christian Church and current member of First Christian Church. She was also past queen of Alphurah Temple #126, and a member of Daughters of the Nile. Phyllis loved travelling with her husband and “Thunder”, and had visited all 50 states and all the provinces of Canada. Pallbearers will be the Elders of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The family would like to give a special thanks to Vista Care Hospice, Mary and John and Answered Prayer Home Health Care, Sherry, Brittany, Dorothy, and Dr. Raghu Mukkamala. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery Humane Society or First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Montgomery, AL in memory of Phyllis Cloutier.
