He is preceded in death by his his wife of 68 years Wilma Dean Henley Tyner; his son, Raymond Lefoy Tyner; his parents Cleve and Georgie Tyner; and three sisters, Dorothy Pyeatt, Faye Hinebaugh and Nancy Gantt. He leaves behind daughter Cynthia Tyner Robinson, son Keith (Cindy) Tyner, 7 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Raymond served in the United States Air Force/National Guard from January 1954 to October 1994.
Raymond was devoted to his family and his faith. He was always looking for the next opportunity to joke around and have a good laugh. Raymond was a member of 2.42 Church in Montgomery, Alabama.
Visitation will be at 2.42 Church on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1 PM, with the funeral to follow at 2 PM, with Rev. John-Paul Wallace officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
