

Robert "Bob" Manley. age 79, a longtime Louisville, KY resident, passed away on March 31, 2025. He was a 1964 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, AL, and a 1968 graduate (B.S. in Marketing & Business Administration) of Troy State University, Troy, Alabama. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity (Lambda Zeta Chapter) and served in the 115th Signal Battalion Army National Guard as a Helicopter Powertrain Mechanic & Crew Chief in Florence, Alabama. Bob was also the retired Secretary and Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Louisville Tin & Stove Co., Louisville, KY. He served on the Executive Board as Chairman of the Direct Heat Division and on various subcommittees with the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA/AHRI) in Washington, D.C.
After returning to the Montgomery area in 2014, he joined Mulder Church in Wetumpka, AL, where he enjoyed singing in their Gospel and Sanctuary Choirs. He was also a member of the church's Gospel Quartet.
A Montgomery, AL native, he was born on August 21, 1945, to the late Jewell Brunson and Jesse M. Busby. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Amelia B. Busby (2013), and his sister, the late Mrs. Beverly (William) McLauchlin (2008) of Florence, Alabama. Bob is survived by his wife, Norma Parker Busby, and their family: Teresa Braxton (John), Jill Merriman (Randy), Paula Banks (Kevin), Emily Wooten (Micheal), and Wes Parker (Katie), as well as twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one niece, two nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was an avid reader, softball player, history buff, scuba diver, pocket knife collector, music collector, guitar player, and an Alabama Crimson Tide fan! Bob and Norma were deeply involved in Mulder Methodist Church’s many activities and loved to travel.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. The Reverend Ron Moore (ret.), Little Flock Baptist Church, Shepherdsville, KY, will be presiding. Burial will follow immediately at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian McLauchlin, Brad McLauchlin, Wes Parker, Mark Ekonen, Stephen Bearce, and Michael Klyce.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the local Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Mulder Church (Wetumpka, AL) Choir Fund, or a charity of choice. Honorary pallbearers will include William C. McLauchlin, Paul Robinson, Eddie Davis, and the remaining members of the 1960 Ridgecrest Baptist R.A. Softball Team.
