Robert E. Garner, Sr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00PM. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Garner served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane Robertson; son, Bill Murphy; and daughter, Cathy Coach. He leaves behind four sons: Robert Garner, Jr., Rusty Garner, Ricky Garner and Terry Garner; one daughter and caregiver, Ann Golden; one granddaughter and caregiver, Christy Christian; seventeen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be sons, Robert, Jr., Rusty, Rickey, and Terry Garner and two grandsons, Tanner Golden and David Day.
