Robert Leon Griffin

Robert Leon Griffin, age 73, of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Born to Alfred Alexander Griffin and Carrie Sue Baxley Griffin while Alfred served the Air Force in the Philippines, Bobby grew up in Wetumpka, attending Wetumpka High School. A machinist for Rheem and a truck driver, he will be remembered for his love of fishing winning several tournaments and mounting several beautiful catches. Rumor has it that he may have called in sick a time or two to fish in a tournament... Bob enjoyed Alabama football and drag racing in his early years even winning a few trophies with his '65 Nova.

Mr. Griffin is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Jimmy Griffin, Jerry Griffin, Ricky Griffin and Johnny Griffin. He is survived by his brothers, Tommy Griffin (Patsy), Jeffrey Griffin and Donald Griffin; and his only sister, Susan Griffin Spivey. Bob leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and a growing number of friends and fishing buddies to cherish his memory.

A friends and family visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 11:30 AM officiated by Rev. Steve Housley.
