Bobby was born in Sedalia, Colorado. At the age of 6 his family moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where he finished school. He was in the Army where he served as a mechanic but mostly played baseball while stationed in France.
After his military service he married the love of his life, Jane on August 28, 1959 and they remained a loving couple until the day he died. They enjoyed many trips together all over the United States and Canada but have a special place in their heart for the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
He was an avid baseball fan spending many nights watching Montgomery Biscuits, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, and any other game he could find to watch on TV. Robert Lee worked as a mechanic at Capital Motor Company and Sears and had a passion for cars.
He loved and adored his family and was always available to spend time with them. He believed in giving back to others including service at Inner City Ministries, Grace Point Church of Christ, and numerous trips to Guatemala with Health Talents International. He loved and appreciated nature and spent many hours working in his garden or going fishing where he could share the fruits of his labor including fried catfish and vine-ripe tomatoes with family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Jane, his children, Linda (Willi), Robby, and Roger along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Services are being held at Grace Pointe Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama on Thursday, August 5th at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Inner City Church of Christ , Health Talents International, or the charity of your choice.
