Robert D. Sears, 61, of Montgomery, Alabama, went to be with the Lord, comforted by his family that loved him all the way to heaven, on September 12, 2014. The funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 3:00pm at Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Mike Northcutt officiating. Graveside services will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm prior to the service. He was a Montgomery resident born November 28, 1952. He was faithfully married to his precious high school sweetheart, Karen, for 38 years. He served his country faithfully in the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked for the State of Alabama for 25 years until he retired to play his music and create his art. He will be missed greatly by his wife, Karen, devoted daughter, Robyn, his beloved lifelong friend, Lynn Poe, his dear uncle, Tom Baggett, and everyone else who knew and loved him.
In lieu of sending flowers, a donation made in his honor to the Montgomery Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
