In Loving Memory of Rosa Hitzlinger, who passed away at Baptist Medical Center in the Montgomery, AL on June 30, 2022, at the age of 83. She leaves behind her son Darrell Davis, daughter-in-law Valerie Davis, grandsons, Jordan and Miles, and sisters, Erika Buehler and Sieglende Erlinger. Rosa was born to Karl and Josephine Hitzlinger on January 31, 1939, in Kelheim, Germany. Her early childhood was happily spent in Velden, Germany, where she was raised by her grandparents until she turned 16 years old, when was reunited with her parents and two sisters in Kolbermoor, Germany to attend high school. After completing high school, she moved to Munich Germany to work in the family bakery until immigrating to the United States in 1962. In the years that followed her dreams of success and unplanned life events found her settling down in several locations across the northern United States from New York City, NY, to Cleveland, OH, to Ayer, MA. and back to Cleveland, OH. In 1976 “Love” and her dream of one day owning her own business led her to make Montgomery, AL, her new and final adopted home, where she lived and thrived for over 45 years. Her intelligence, direct communication style, drive to be successful and entrepreneurial spirit were instrumental in her single handily starting and operating four successful businesses in the Montgomery area over the past 35 years. Although many times misunderstood, she was a wonderful, loyal, and trustworthy friend to so many and will be fondly remembered for her willingness to help others, as well as her love and compassion for all animals; large and small. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Love you Mom!
