Brenda and Family,

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I remember how close you and your sister were to your parents.  I also remember you going to Sam's to buy fruit trays for your Mother, just one example of the great care and love shown to her and your Father.  May you all find peace and comfort in knowing that they are both together in Heaven, and may God grant you the strength to endure in your time of bereavement.  Be blessed.

Rosalyn is a part of my earliest memories.  We spent many days playing together as children, both at Titus and at Kilby.  We spent lots of time playing "movie star", taking turns being the people pictured on the lids to our ice cream cups, picking blackberries with our Mama Ree and singing with her grandmother Harden.  "Miss Bernice" would play the piano and sing "Put My Little Shoes Away" which I thought was the saddest thing I ever heard.....still is.  Until this day, one of my greatest fears is "escaped convict"........partly due to the terror I felt when the escapee siren would go off in the night at Kilby.  I loved visiting there.  Seems like there were always other family members around, Raymond or Aunt Mildred, not to speak of Wayne who was so super cool.  I still know all the bass parts to old gospel songs from listening to Uncle Rudolph.  I'll sing them for you sometime!  I am so sorry I can't be at the service,  but this trip has been in the works for a year and I surely don't want to miss my flight.  I am thinking of you every hour and praying for your comfort and peace.  She certainly does look like a Harden in the picture you chose!  Much love, Phyllis
