
BRANNON, Roscoe, 97, a Montgomery resident, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016. His Visitation will be held Friday, January 8, 2016, at 10 AM, at Capitol Heights Baptist Church, followed by his Life Celebration Service at 11 AM, with Rev. Warren Culver officiating. Burial will follow on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 11 AM, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Newville, AL, in Dale County. A thirty year Navy Veteran, he landed on Normandy on D-Day, and was treating casualties within two hours of the first landings, and also served in the Korean Conflict. He later served Pennwalt Prescription Products for twenty-four years. He was an active deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and a designated church visitor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Blankenship Brannon. Survivors include his daughter, Brenda Joyce Bolin (Art); grandchildren, Angela Bolin Sweatman (John), and Rhonda Bolin Baughman (Joe); great-grandchildren, Brannon and Christian Winter, J.P., Tyler, and Phillip Baughman; and a sister Flois Dunn.
