Rose Marie ALLEN

Rose Marie Allen, 90, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 in a local hospital. She was born in Traunstein, Germany on September 16, 1930.

She met her husband in Germany following World War II and married in the USA in 1953. They celebrated 16 years of marriage just prior to his death in 1969.

Rose is survived by her children: Christopher Allen (Beth); Kimberly Allen Solan (Terry); and Tracy Allen Riedler (Jim) as well as grandchildren: Bobby (Priscilla) and Matthew (Brooke) and great grandchildren: Weston and Matthew. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eugene Allen.

She was a longtime resident of Montgomery, Alabama and worked as a LPN and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Baptist Medical Center South for nearly 40 years. Her hobbies included knitting and cross stitching.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020.

I met Tracy and her lovely mother Rose in the early 1980's. Rose was such a fun loving woman and always shared a story with me when I would see her at Baptist South. I feel fortunate to have had a recent visit with this terrific lady. She will live on in my fondest memories.

She certainly spoiled me on Thursday at 10:30am in salon.. Every 5 weeks, breakfast was delivered while I cut her hair for over 25 years!! Thanks for all the smiles and laughter Rose!! Enjoy your new Home my Angel ❤️

Rose was one of the most nicest people to be around. She has been in our family for years and I always enjoyed having her to my house for the holidays. She always had to brings a dish to share and always made me feel special for having her. She will be missed,.
