Ruby Philyaw Arnette

Ruby Philyaw Arnette – December 16, 1934 – March 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady L. Arnette; parents, Marvin Lee and Ruby Raines Philyaw; and her loving grandmother Clyde Herron Philyaw. She is survived by sons, Dale (Lynda) and Glenn (Carol); grandchildren, Chris (Natalie) Arnette, Kelly (Matthew) Forester, Karla (Woody) Woodruff and Casey (Morgan) Weaver; great grandchildren, Witt and Emily Ryan Arnette, Tripp Weaver and Katherine, Caroline and Emily Forester. She was a retiree with BellSouth and worked with the State of Alabama. Ruby was a longtime member of Chisholm Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Aunt Kate and Linda Arnette for their unconditional love and excellent care, Gentiva Hospice and Dr. Donald Marshall and his staff. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18th with a Celebration Service immediately following led by Bro. Lenny Bolton. A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Annex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Chisholm Baptist Church or Gentiva Hospice.
