Ruth Jones Brinkley

Ruth Lanier Jones Brinkley, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Joe Robert Brinkley; her parents, Claude & Priscilla Jones; and her 3 brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Robin Heath (Chuck), Elizabeth Byrd; 3 grandchildren, Hunter Heath, Chad Lynn, and Whitney Lynn. Ruth had a quick wit and everyone enjoyed her sense of humor. She worked at St. Margaret’s Hospital and American Life Insurance. After she retired, Ruth volunteered at the Montgomery Cancer Center helping and encouraging others. She was a faithful member of Eastmont Baptist Church. In her 70s, she rededicated her life to Christ along with her grandson.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1:30pm at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Mike Northcutt officiating. The family would like to extend a word of gratitude to the staff at Crowne Healthcare Reflections Unit and Wetumpka Health and Rehabilitation for their love and care during the past few years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastmont Baptist Church.
