REID, Ruth Lowe, 91 of Montgomery, Alabama died Friday, March 31,
2017.
Born in Clanton, Alabama on December 15, 1925, Mrs. Reid attended
the University of Alabama before marrying U.S. Army Lieutenant
Richard Stanton Reid in November of 1944.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Lowe Reid of Sacramento, CA,
Bruce Stanton Reid (Emilie) of Montgomery, AL; nine grandchildren;
and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband
Richard Stanton Reid, Montgomery, AL; her sisters Evelyn Forman,
Birmingham, AL and Berneice Clayton, Sacramento, CA; and her
parents Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Lowe, Clanton, AL.
“NANA” was devoted to her grandchildren, loved gardening, cooking,
shelling and traveling to Sanibel Island, FL, the coast of Maine and
Nova Scotia.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Special thanks to
