As I read Bonnie Collar's words this morning, the memories of the years I was a part of this family flood my mind; memories I will forever hold near and dear in my heart. Frankie was a Mother to me as well. She treated me as her own in every way a Mother does. She and Paul never preached the Gospel, they lived it. As their son's girlfriend at the time, I watched them give to so many and witnessed their faithfulness to their church and Sunday School class. As  a recipient of their love and nurturing daily, I cannot help now but to think that God was speaking to me through them all those years, slowly drawing me back to Him, showing me through their actions that there is more to life than I was acknowledging at the time. I am so thankful to not only have been a part of this family, but even more importantly, I am eternally grateful for the part Frankie played in leading me back to my family in Christ Jesus. Frankie was a living example of what it means to extend the unconditional love of Jesus Christ to others. I love you so much Frankie and will miss you dearly. I know you will be one of the first waiting for me when I enter the Gates of Heaven one day. Yours always, Tricia

Aunt Frankie was such a special person!  I always enjoyed going to her house..she was always so happy and upbeat!  She was the last of 15 siblings which is quite a family!  My grandmother was her sister!  I have many good memories of being with Frankie and Paul!  I know that they are having a blessed reunion!  She will be missed!

Sara Frances Thompson was known to family and friends as "Frankie".  Aunt Frankie took care of everyone she knew and some she hardly knew. For all my childhood and teen years, the most fun gatherings were at her house.  She was one of 15 children, so when you add spouses and children that is quite a gathering if only half show up. As much as she loved Uncle Paul and all her silings, no one held a more special place in her heart than her son, Henry. You cold just mark it down that if there was ever a choice that had to be made, he was going to come out on top. I hope my cousin Henry realizes that he has a new advocate in heaven and that the rest of his life will honor his mother's love. We all loved her and will miss her.

Although Sara Frances Thompson gave birth to only one child, she was a mother to hundreds (literally) of nieces and nephews, great nieces/nephews, and children of those great nieces and nephews. Although, third from last in birth order of 14 siblings, she became the matriarch of our large family. She was the communication center in times of family joys and tragedies, the hostess to gatherings in joyous events like births and marriages and holiday meals, as well as the one who, along with her husband "Uncle Paul", were always there to comfort and care for others if anyone needed a helping hand.  Sara Francis (Aint Frankie) Thompson, literally, had hundreds of nieces and nephews, and I can guarantee you that if you asked each one of them to name "Aunt Frankie's" favorite, the person would tell you that they were her favorite.  Indeed she loved us all in a way that made us feel like we were her very favorite, and in truth we were. Amazingly, she had enough love to make all of us feel unique and special..(as well as a little giddy from all the candy and soft drinks she allowed us to have).  What a boisterous and joyful reunion is going on in Heaven as the "Barber Clan" welcomes the last of the siblings back into the fold.  I know the twins, my mother "Bunny aka Doris" and my aunt, Dot (Aint Dottie) are  especially elated to see their big sister Frankie.  Heaven is somehow more "complete" now, but this world will never be the same without our "AINT FRANKIE", who has been a constant pillar of strength to every member of the "Barber" family, whether related by blood or marriage, for as long as our memories can fathom.
Love you, Aunt Frankie! Praise God we will see each other again.
