

MOONEYHAM, Sarah Booth, 82, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, at her home following an extended illness, surrounded by her family. She was an amazing woman, full of love, compassion, and heartfelt generosity toward others. She had a tremendous love of science, and shared this love with many students during her long career as a secondary science teacher in many schools throughout Alabama. She also used her degree in guidance counseling to help students plan for their futures. Her love of music and our Heavenly Father was displayed through her beautiful voice, which brought light and happiness to those in her presence. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly sixty years, William S. “Billy” Mooneyham; her children, William S. “Bill” Mooneyham, II, Weenona Mooneyham Brannon (Edward), Sarah Chrystene Kelley (Matt), Charles Howard Mooneyham (Amy); grandchildren, Susan Schassler, Billy Schassler (Barbi), Kaitlin Schassler, Tom Mooneyham, Katherine Kelley, Aven Kelley; great-grandchildren, Faith Hayes, & Liam Schassler; sister, Margaret Horton; and cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017, from 5-7 PM, at Leak Memory Chapel, and at 12 PM, on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Victory Temple Church in Wetumpka, followed by her Funeral Service at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Schassler, Tom Mooneyham, Donald Gunter, Booth Gunter, Tyler Hayes, Bucky Fiddler, Jimmy Cope, & James Kelley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Liam Schassler, Edward Brannon, & Jim Schassler.
