CMSgt. Shellie Earl Lewis, USAF (ret), 79, of Montgomery, AL, peacefully went to his lord and savior, while surrounded by his wife and children, on Friday, October 30, 2015. Affectionately known as “Paw Paw”, he was a Dye-Hard Auburn fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Ann Lewis, his son, Scott Lewis (Vicki), his three daughters: Debra Lewis, Angela Kindred and Dina Holloway (Scott), his nine grandchildren: Crystal Gomez, Justin Lewis, Tiffany Ann Geier, Cory Strength (Erica), Joshua Lewis (Andrea), Tyler Metcalf, Chase Lewis, Samantha Striblin (Clint), and, Shelby Strength, his six great grandchildren: Charli-Ann Geier, Scarlett-Grace Gomez, Cody Lewis, Molli-Dale Geier, Marley Gomez and Oliver Lewis, his five sisters: Annette Taylor (Lewie), Charlotte Sipple, Erma Williams (Richard), Beverly Davis (Glynn), Sonia Long (Roger), his brother, Bobby Lewis, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his mother, father, two sisters, two brothers, and one grandson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at White Chapel – Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made in his honor to Baptist Hospice.
