

Shelly Michael Hall (Mike) was born on September 18, 1948 and stepped through Heaven’s gates on February 9, 2018. He was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama until he joined the Army in 1969. He served in Vietnam and Berlin, Germany. He graduated high school in 1966 and attended the University of South Alabama before joining the Army. He returned to the University upon completing his tour of duty. Mike worked for a management consultant firm upon graduation. He worked as a site manager for a custom home builder, a manager for UHaul and for Southern Homes before a stroke in 1999. The VA sent him back to school and he achieved a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Development in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelly Moses Hall and Agnes White Hall. He is survived by his wife, Donna Miles Hall, and their two children, Kelly Michael Hall and Jennifer Louise Hall. This is his last chance to remind his sister, Angie Pugh, that she is a year older than him. Rusty Pugh is his much loved nephew and will always be a second son. Mike has numerous family members on his side and on his wife’s who were precious to him and very beloved.
Mike loved his work with different animal rescue transport organizations. He loved driving the animals and helping them get out of high kill shelters and on to foster or forever homes. He seldom missed a weekend. He enjoyed tutoring with the children at Flowers Elementary School. He was a faithful member and active worker at Perry Hill UMC.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 (11:00 am) at Perry Hill United Methodist Church, 910 Perry Hill Road, Montgomery, AL
