He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose Gothard; one son, Preston (Beth) Gothard; 2 daughters, Pam (Tommy) Kilpatrick and Dawn (Ben) Patterson; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.
Mr. Gothard was a very respected contractor of 52 years, and President of Gothard and Son Contractors. He was an avid hunter and Alabama Football fan. Within his greatest achievements were his Wife, Children, and Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday 10:00am-11:00am, with a Celebration of Life Graveside to follow at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Mark Ebersold. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to ALZ.ORG Alzheimer’s Association
