Sue Ellen McBride

Sue Ellen McBride, age 85, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. A secretary/receptionist within the dental industry and a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church, Sue will be remembered by her friends and family for the way she loved to laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Richard L. McBride, Sr.; her parents, Hollis Buford Boston Sr. and Opie Hargrove Boston; and her brother Hollis Buford Boston Jr. Mrs. McBride is survived by her children, Richard Lee McBride, Jr. (Jordan Montiel McBride) of Montgomery, and Suzanne McBride Maddox of Birmingham; and her grandchildren, Robert "Rob" Michael Smith Jr., Hunter Richard Smith, Richard L. McBride, III, Elizabeth Glen McBride, and David Reid McBride; and her great grandchildren, Violet Maria Elizabeth Lohr, Rylan Dan Smith, Ella Luna Smith, and Emerson Lee Smith; and her brother Robert Benjamin Boston. A bridge enthusiast and a top-notch babysitter of grandchildren, Sue loved her family, visiting the great grandchildren and spending time with friends and family. Her laughter was almost as contagious as her love for life. A private family memorial service will be scheduled for a later date to treasure her memory.
