

SUDDATH, Susie Emma (Sue), age 93, passed away in Marietta, Georgia, on October 20, 2016. Mrs. Suddath was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Henry Wooldridge Suddath, and a daughter, Linda Sue, who died at birth. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gertrude Tatum and brothers, Dill and Anderson Tatum. She is survived by her sons, David Anderson Suddath, Sr. (Maye) and Henry Douglas Suddath (Peggy); grandchildren Virginia Maye Suddath, David Anderson Suddath, Jr. (Sarah) and Cassie Jeanette Leary; and great-grandchildren, Luke and Peyton Suddath, Alanna and Joseph Leary. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and one niece who was like a daughter to her, Sharon Tatum. Mrs. Suddath was born February 17, 1923, in Richland, Georgia. Mrs. Suddath moved to Montgomery when she married in 1945. She spent many happy years as a wife, mother and grandmother and was an active member of Capitol Heights Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 25 years. After Henry retired as the Montgomery County Administrator, they loved to travel and go camping and visited every state but one in the United States. Mrs. Suddath moved to Marietta, Georgia, in 2012, and lived in Atherton Place Memory Care where she was called "Sweet Sue" until the Lord called her home. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 25 at Leak Memory Chapel from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Warren Culver officiating and interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
