

Sybil Nall died September 26, 2026 at her retirement home in Montgomery, Alabama at the age of 93. Sybil and her husband, Joseph Nall moved to Montgomery in 2000 to live closer to their children. Sybil was born in Andalusia, Alabama, and attended Pleasant Home High School. After marriage she lived in various towns in Alabama and Florida.
Sybil was known for her hospitality, her good cooking, and great love for her family. In true southern style, she could talk to anyone from any walk of life, and almost always she would come to find out that they were related in some way.
She was a member of University Church of Christ, and until her later years, she was very active in the Church of Christ congregations she attended. She was always known for her sweet manner and her good hugs. Besides cooking, she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would do anything for them. While she was mostly a stay-at-home mom, she did have various jobs including working for many years in the Tax Assessor's Office in Bay Minette, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Nall, and her sisters, Lydia Faye Goodman, Lurlie Rae Little, Annie Maude Griggs, and a brother, Brooks Stokes, and her parents, Lamar and Flossie Stokes.
She is survived by her son, Benjie Nall and his wife, Kim. Her daughter, Beverly Pace and her husband, Mark. Her grandchildren: Braden Pace and his wife, Jenna, Brett Pace and his wife, Emily, Kadyn McLean and her husband, Connor, Avery Lane, Caleb Nall and his wife Lindsey, and Callie Starkie and her husband, Hunter.
Her great grandchildren: Aslyn, Alden, and Abreena Pace, Sophie and Adam Pace, and Heath McLean. Darby and Davis Starkie, Ethan and Catherine Lane, and Sage and Kemper Nall.
Her funeral will be Thursday, October 1 at University Church of Christ in Montgomery. Visitation will start at 9:30 AM and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM.
