I would like to thank all that has given their condolences and love to the family. Although I was her granddaughter through birth she was my mother, my mama, and my teacher.  I Love You Mama!!!

To my family, I was sadden when I heard of Sylvia's passing. As I witnessed her Home Going Celebration yesterday, my heart was filled with Joy. I know she would be proud to know the Spirit of the Lord was in the Church yesterday. We loved her while she walked on earth with us and we will have wonderful memories of what she did on earth. I will miss her dearly, because everytime we traveled to Montgomery from Panama City, we always stopped to see her. I pray for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that you have peace and joy to fill the void on not having her with you.  We loved her, but God loves her best.

My prayers are with the entire family, during this sad time. I will always remember Sylvia during our Family Reunions for her beautiful smile and her unforgetable hugs. I will always adire her for making sure we have a word from the Lord during our Family Reunions. I remember her saying, "We made it to Houston, Tx by the Grace of God". God has chosen another beautiful rose for his garden in Heaven. Family, Look up and live by faith. Your cousin Regina & family.

Our cousin Sylvia will be greatly missed. It was an honored to have known and share her life journey. This last Thanksgiving, she danced briefly for us here on earth, BUT now she's dancing eternally with our Lord and Savior. To the Dawson and extended Family, we will miss Sylvia, but we know that she finished her assignment well, she endured to the end and now she's resting with the Lord. We as well, if we stay the course with Jesus, will one day  rest with HIM as she is now resting in his arms, because we have the hope of Glory. Love you, Charles and Rosaura

I will miss you dearly Mama Sylvia, all of our talks and the many laughs we shared over the years. I thank you for accepting me as your daughter-in-law and loving me and your grandson Darius. Oh how we would sit and talk for hours about the Bible, Darius, David Jr. and David...the great love you had for your grandchildren was what I admired the most about you. I can hear your voice even now and your laughter is as a sounding trumpet. I love you!!! And will see you again in the Upper Room...we always talked about the Upper Room...I could make you laugh the loudest when I'd speak of the Upper Room. Soar In Peace Mama Sylvia. I worked with Sylvia for several years at the Department of Human Resources, she was a delight to work with.  I was so happy that she was able to retire and enjoy her life. I will miss her and will be praying for the family.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Mother Dawson.  I will treasure the joyous times we share at church and in her home.  She will certainly be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are extended to the Dawson Family in this time of sorrow.
