Theodore Francis “Todd” Bouchard, 59, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Todd dedicated much of his life to serving others. He was a proud member of the Snowdoun Volunteer Fire Department for more than 20 years, serving as a firefighter and spending over a decade on its Board of Directors. He loved his community and found great purpose in answering the call to help those in need.
Todd also built an impressive career in construction, working as a superintendent and overseeing the construction of numerous businesses throughout the region. He took tremendous pride in his work and was known for his unwavering work ethic, leadership, and commitment to excellence. To Todd, a job worth doing was a job worth doing right.
When he wasn’t working, Todd enjoyed cheering on Alabama football and rarely missed a game if he could help it. He also loved to cook and found his greatest joy in feeding the people he loved. Nearly every day, he would call family and friends to let them know dinner was ready and there was always enough for everyone. Even during his illness, he continued making those calls because he wanted to be sure no one went without a good meal. It was one of the many ways he showed his love.
Above all else, Todd cherished his family. His greatest happiness came from spending time with his beloved granddaughters, Lexie, Ansley, and Adaline, who affectionately knew him as “Peepaw.” They were the light of his life and brought him endless pride and joy.
Todd was preceded in death by his sons, Steven, Chris, and Michael, and his brother-in-law, David “D.T.” Marshall.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Annie; his sons, Timothy, Jason, and BJ; his beloved granddaughters, Lexie, Ansley, and Adaline; his father, Ted; his stepmother, Shirley; his brothers, Tommy and Michael; his sisters, Tammy and Trisha; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Snowdoun Volunteer Fire Department.
A funeral service celebrating Todd’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Snowdoun Volunteer Fire Department. A graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Todd will be remembered as a man who believed in the dignity of hard work, the importance of serving others, and the immeasurable value of family. Whether he was leading a construction project, answering a fire call, standing over a grill making sure everyone had something to eat, or simply enjoying time with his grandchildren, he poured his heart into everything he did.
His strength was quiet, his generosity was constant, and his love was shown not only through words, but through a lifetime of actions. The legacy he leaves behind is one of selfless service, unwavering dedication, and unconditional love. His family, his friends, and the community he faithfully served are better because of him, and though he will be deeply missed, his example will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
