

Woody was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. He lived a life grounded in faith, compassion, and dedication to his family. A faithful member of Christ Methodist Church, Woody found great joy in his church community and cherished the friendships and fellowship he shared there through the years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Thomas Woodrow Buckelew Jr. and his wife, Melva, Ann Miller, and Rene Gilreath and her husband, Danny; his grandchildren, Christina Razick, Sara Buckelew, and Brad Hodges and his wife Rachel; and his great-grandchildren Laura, Thomas, Riley, Evan, Mason, and Izzy. Woody also leaves behind his sister, Diane Green of Mobile.
Woody will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him. His legacy of faith, grace, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever. The family appreciates the prayers, love, and support extended during this difficult time.
Family and Friends Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, on June 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Chapel Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens.
