Thomas J. Sewell, 72, passed away January, 24, 2014 with his family and loved ones by his side. Jackie, son of the late Cecil Sewell, was born on April 30, 1941 in Tennessee. He had two brothers and three sisters. He attended East High School in Knoxville, Tennessee and shortly after joined the Navy for four years. He worked for NOAA weather service for 32 years.
Jackie was married to Jean Sewell for 52 years. He is survived by two children: Lynda S. Brown (Gearald Brown) of Highland Home, AL and Jacqueline S. McInvale (Jason McInvale) of Satsuma, AL. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael and Erica, Heather and Glen, Mark and Kayla, Courtney, and Emily and Brandon. Also five great grandchildren, Hunter, Aiden, Carleigh, Caleb and Caitlyn.
A viewing will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Leak Memory Chapel. The service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel and the burial will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Cool Springs Cemetery.
