

Bert was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing and took great pride in woodworking. His sawmill was one of his favorite places, where he put his skills, hard work, and creativity into countless projects over the years. He was known for his strong work ethic, quiet wisdom, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Tommie Vinson and Sybil Dunn, siblings; Carolyn Spears, Mary Hartzog, Richard Vinson, and Butch Moseley, and stepson, Wayne Armstrong.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonnie Armstrong; his son, Lee Vinson (Jessica); his stepsons, John Pittman, Greg Armstrong (Cindy), and daughter-in-law Rhonda Armstrong; and his beloved grandchildren, Jake, Ryleigh, Lennox, and Ronni. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family sends a special thanks to the Enhabit Hospice staff; Cynthia Allen, Martha Foster, Kathi Voytek, Sandra Medley.
Bert's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Magnolia Baptist Church June 27, 2026 at 11:00am.
