

Mrs. Virginia Ward Billy, 93, who resided in Montgomery, Al., went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at John Knox Manor in Montgomery, Al. She was preceded in death by her parents; Hilliard G. Ward and Florence Mitchell Ward, husband; Cecil J. Billy, and four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her daughter; Cecile B. McNeill and a son-in law; John J. McNeill Jr., a brother; Thomas E. Ward (Mary Clyde), and two sisters; Helen W. Ledbetter, and Jeanette W. Orr, three grandchildren; John J. McNeill III, Jason R. McNeill (Jen) and Jennifer M. Wallace (Reid), three great-grandchildren; Kenneth Reid Wallace IV, John McNeill Wallace and Magnolia Virginia McNeill and eleven nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Frazier United Methodist Church Friendship Class and was a past violinist member of the Montgomery Symphony. She also worked in the Office of the Secretary of the Alabama Senate. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be held at Frazier United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00 am with burial to follow immediately at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: John J. McNeill III, Jason R. McNeill, Kenneth Reid Wallace III, Michael B. Ward, Jr., John T Ward, James R. Fleet, James E. Orr, Jr., and Robert M. Ward. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mark A. Boutwell, Thomas E. Ward and Billy C. Ledbetter, Jr. Pastor Neil Epler will be officiating. Arrangements made by White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home.
