William Gary Box, “Lunch Box”, age 65, passed away on Thursday January 21, 2021. A truck driver for 47 years, he was a big-hearted man who loved his family, friends, and neighbors. He always enjoyed or created a good time. He played the guitar, enjoyed hunting and fishing, rode motorcycles, and was always up for a car show. He was a good daddy who had a nickname for everyone he loved. Names like, “Boy-son”, “Skillet”, “Tater-bug”, “Dude”, “Flossie-bug”, and “Beeg Sister” to name just a few. He leaves behind his best friend and faithful companion, Emmett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, William Erik Box (Scarlett), Kristie Lynne Daughtry (Johnny); grandchildren, Ashton Paige Box, Christopher Ray Daughtry, William Watters Box, Joshua Owen Daughtry; sisters, Gail Box Ingram (Bracken), Joyce Box Smith (Jimmy); nieces, Kelli Burbage (Gene), Kim Kalinauskas, Carrie Suenaga (Satoshi), Katie Griffies (Matt); nephew, Will Ingram; great nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Bella, Kirie, Annaline, Jon, Mark, Brady, and Yoshiya.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, William Troy Box and Bertie Mae Harris Box.
A Memorial will be held at The Box Residence, Gary's house, on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00pm. Please wear a mask and bring a chair. Directions are available from his children.
