William Eugene Crawford passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen Crawford; a son, Andrew Eugene Crawford (Jennifer); a daughter, Cassandra Cornwell (Brian); three grandchildren, Tara Crawford, Haven Cornwell, Kacie Cornwell; a brother, Billy Joe Crawford; and four nieces.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Leak Memory Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Graveside services will be on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
Mr. Crawford retired as a Lt. Colonel after a career in the Air Force and the Air Guard. He enjoyed flying and was a Navigator for KC-135 and F4 Phantoms. He also retired from the Department of Revenue. He enjoyed spending time with family especially his grandchildren. He loved photography, his pets, music, cooking, as well as all things Dr. Who.
