Born in Mobile, long time Montgomery resident, Pick Davidson died peacefully at his home Friday morning. He is survived by his children, Rebecca Wilson (Mike) of Montgomery, Susan Geddie (Bob) of Montgomery and Bill Davidson (Sally) of Birmingham. He had seven grandchildren, David Wilson (Kelli); (Allen) and Laura Ashley Blakeney; (Nick) and Lee Barcelona, Mary Alston Geddie; Will, Emily, and Anna Davidson, and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Lee Davidson, by his parents William Pickett Davidson, Sr. and Bessie Worden Davidson, his sister, Julia Powers, all from Mobile.
Pick served his country with the Army in several European theaters during WWII in England, France, and Germany. Upon his return after the war, he completed his education at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn) and received a degree in architecture. Upon graduation, he immediately went to work for Sherlock, Smith and Adams where he loyal he spent his entire 43 year career. Pick was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where he served as an usher for over 50 years
Services will be held Monday, May 21 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church Montgomery with Dr. Jay Wolf officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with graveside services for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Caring Center.
