William Henry Doyle, Jr.

Doyle, William Henry Jr., 90, a resident of Clanton, AL, died peacefully on February 12, 2021 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Helen Corcoran Doyle, by his wife of 58 years, Marion Spies Doyle, his brother Dr. James C. Doyle, and by his grandson, Damon Young. He is survived by his three children, Beth Young (Larry), Helen Roper (Blake), and Bill Doyle, by his brother, Bourke Doyle (Sandra), his granddaughter, Amanda Roper Wellman (Ben), and by great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Henry was born in Troy, AL on September 20, 1930 and was a longtime resident of Montgomery, AL. He graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, AL. He retired as a hydraulic engineer in the Interstate Bureau at ALDOT after a career of 31 years. Henry was a devoted husband, father, and devout Catholic. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Clanton. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Gardens of Clanton , Hatley Health Care, and Southern Care Hospice for their loving care in his later years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

A visitation is set for 10:00 am at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, February 19, 2021 with a Chapel Service to follow at 11:00 am. Services for Mr. Doyle will conclude with a 12:30 pm committal at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Online condolences for the Doyle family may be shared at: www.Leak-MC.com.
