William Edward "Red" Young Jr., age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. William was born January 21, 1940 in New York to William E. Young Sr. and Matilda Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Elaine Errico, Joan Addie, Bobby Young and Kenny Young; daughter Tammy Whatley; and his son Douglas Dennis.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Young; his children William E. Young III of Wedowee, AL, Sheryl (Craig) Lyne of Wetumpka, AL, and Autumn (Steve) Deupree of Montgomery, AL as well as his brother, Ronnie (Linda) Young. Mr. Young also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A firefighter for over 20 years, he had a smile for everyone he met. Red enjoyed Alabama football and fishing but especially his dogs.
A visitation for William will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
