Willie Joe Sexton of Montgomery passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 83. Joe served in the United States Air Force, was a graduate of Troy State University and worked as a statistician for the State of Alabama until retirement in 1995. He enjoyed being a health volunteer at the Baptist South campus for over 20 years. Joe was an active member of McGhee Road Baptist Church for many years, and more recently a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Beatrice Crysel Sexton. He is survived by his daughters, Sabrina McDonald and Shera Pontaoe (Alejandro); grandchildren, Chris McDonald, Jason McDonald (Gretchen), David Hubbard and Alexandra Beatrice Pontaoe; great-grancdchildren, Skylar Blaine McDonald, Alexis McDonald, Logan McDonald and Porter Hubbard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
