Wilma Jean Pierce

Wilma Jean Pierce, of Wetumpka, passed peacefully into the arms of Christ Jesus on December 20, 2023, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family. “Jean” as she was known to all her family and loved ones, retired as a long-term employee of Rosemont Gardens, where her wonderful artistic ability was highlighted by the beautiful floral arrangements she created for people throughout the River Region. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and her kindness to all.

Jean is survived by her five loving children: Kenny Pierce (Alisa), Sandy Cobb (David), Paul Pierce (Honey), Allison Pierce (Scott) and her daughter-in-law, Denise Pierce. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Leonard Leon Pierce, and her son, Randy Pierce (Denise). She was loved and adored by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 1:00-2:00PM with a graveside service beginning at 2:00PM in Greenwood Cemetery with Bro. Justin Teate, Bro. Tony Richburg and Bro. Brian Richburg officiating. Pallbearers include grandsons: Christopher Pierce, Dane Cobb, Walt Cobb, Matthew Pierce, William Pierce, John Pierce, Zachary Pierce, Cory Smith and great grandson, Parker Pierce.
