It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Agostino Bona, who left us peacefully on July 6th, 2025, at 2:10 PM. He was 90 years old.
Born on June 27, 1935, in the proud town of Canicattì, Sicily, Agostino Bona carried the heart of his heritage with him wherever he went. His Sicilian roots were a source of deep pride, and he instilled in his family the values of tradition, strength, and honor.
A man of profound integrity, Agostino Bona lived with dignity, respect, and an unwavering sense of loyalty. He was a storyteller in the truest sense—quick with a joke, a memory, or a life lesson. Whether you knew him for five minutes or a lifetime, you walked away changed, touched by his humor, his wisdom, and his warmth.
He was the devoted father of five children: Josie (Mansour), Mary (Charles), Tony (Eric) , Jennifer (Albert), and Michael, each of whom carry forward his lessons and love. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren—Christopher, Joey, Anthony, Dominic, Damien, and Adrien—and his cherished great-grandchild, Baby Franklin. Also his Cousin Pino and companion Krystyna.
Our hearts find peace knowing he is now reunited with Giovanna, his beloved wife; his parents, Giuseppina and Antonio; and his dear brother, Enzo. Their spirits are surely together again—laughing, embracing, and watching over us.
To his family, Agostino Bona was a rock—a guidepost who taught us to value what we stand for and to never forget where we came from. He reminded us always to live with purpose and pride. To his friends, he was a loyal companion, generous with his time and spirit.
We will forever cherish his memory, his legacy, and the countless stories he leaves behind. His love lives on in each of us, and his voice will echo in our hearts every time we laugh, remember, or stand up for what’s right.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a chapel service at 11:00 a.m.
Services will take place at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, located at 5610 Sherbrooke Street West, Montréal, Québec.
Rest in peace, Papa.
Riposa in pace Papa. Sarai per sempre nei nostri cuori.
You were, and always will be, our greatest story.
